AIM Program
Overview
Founded in 1980, The Bronx Museum’s AIM program (formerly known as “Artist in Marketplace”) seeks to further the careers of the most promising artists based in NYC through professional development training, resources, and opportunities.

AIM Fellowship
WHAT:
A curriculum of expert-led seminars that impart the knowledge and skills artists need to succeed in the art world today.
WHO:
The Bronx Museum selects fourteen of the most promising artists based in NYC for each AIM Fellowship Cohort through a competitive open-call application process.
WHEN:
Each cycle of the AIM Fellowship takes place over one calendar year. Fellows meet for seminars in person at the Museum one evening/week from February – June, take a summer break through August, then resume meetings from September – December.

AIM Convening
WHAT:
A free public professional development and community building event for artists at The Bronx Museum collaboratively organized and facilitated by the Cohort that most recently completed the AIM Fellowship.
WHO:
The AIM Convening open to anyone who would like to attend and specifically intended to serve professional artists or those seeking to become professional artists.
WHEN:
The Convening is an annual program that takes place over the course of one weekend day at The Bronx Museum.

AIM Biennial
WHAT:
Although AIM is not a studio program, The Bronx Museum seeks to uplift artists who completed the Fellowship by showcasing their work in a biennial exhibition.
WHO:
Artists who completed the AIM Fellowship in the years since the most recent AIM Biennial was presented are included in the next Biennial exhibition. Each AIM Cohort comprises about fourteen artists, and a Biennial usually features two Cohorts or approximately 28 artists total.
WHEN:
The AIM Biennial exhibition occurs every other year.
