At our First Friday celebration on January 10th, you can participate in a special pop-up event with artist Stephanie Dinkins. Your contributions will help inform Dinkins’ project for an upcoming exhibition at the Museum—WORKING KNOWLEDGE: Shared Imaginings, New Futures—opening in Spring 2025.
It is free to participate in this activity, and drop-ins are welcome, but please let us know if you plan to stop by with an RSVP.

We’re inviting community members to join us at a special pop-up event at The Bronx Museum on January 10th to share what life in The Bronx and beyond means to you—your experiences, dreams, and cultural pride. These stories will help shape BronxBot, an AI-powered storyteller that engages museum visitors with self-determined descriptions of The Bronx.
This project is more than art—it’s a step toward shaping how communities like The Bronx are represented in AI systems. By sharing your story, you’ll help define your community in the data that AI uses to make decisions, ensuring that your community is seen, heard, and considered in its complexity.
Together, we work toward more compassionate and thoughtful AI outcomes that reflect the values, struggles, and hopes of communities like yours. Your voice will contribute to an AI that cares, listens, and represents its community with generosity and understanding.
At the event, you’ll find a welcoming space where artists and facilitators will guide you in contributing to this exciting project. Whether you want to freestyle, share a memory, or simply talk about your hopes for the future, your input matters.
We’ll have creative prompts, voice-recording stations, and a supportive team to help make your participation effortless and fun.
