All are welcome to participate in this free Book Club for the book Punch Me Up to the Gods by author Brian Broome.

A poetic and raw coming-of-age memoir in essays about blackness, masculinity, and addiction, Punch Me Up to the Gods introduces a powerful new talent in Brian Broome, whose early years growing up in Ohio as a dark-skinned Black boy harboring crushes on other boys propel forward this gorgeous, aching, and unforgettable debut.

This Book Club is part of “James Baldwin at 100″— an initiative of  One Book One Bronx & The Literary Freedom Project that will celebrate a century since the author’s birth with discussions, panels, screenings, and exhibitions focusing on a wide range of literary works and ideas.

The Bronx Museum is proud to serve as a host location for One Book One Bronx Book Clubs!
