About the Program
This program is part of the 7th AIM Biennial Culminating Open House, featuring a variety of activities and ways to engage with artists currently exhibiting work in The Seventh AIM Biennial: Forms of Connection.
The conversation features four artists: Katie Chin, Rocío Delaloye, Erick Alejandro Hernandez, and Cyle Warner, with moderation by art critic and author, Lou Bury.
These artists completed the 2025 cycle of the Museum’s annual AIM Fellowship — a career accelerator program for the most talented ascendant artists based in NYC.

Katie Chin

Erick Alejandro Hernández
Taking root in highly temporal narrative settings like the death of a loved one, the length of a subway commute, the confines of a waiting room, or the impact of a car crash, Erick Alejandro Hernandez’s practice explores how traditional techniques like oil painting and drawing can shift material forms in order to hold complex individual and collective histories.

Cyle Warner
Cyle Warner is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice engages with space, place, time, and distance in relation to the past and how we choose to move forward outside of contemporary values, an idea he refers to as “Dis.” Working across fiber, photography, and sculpture, Warner creates compositions that consider notions of home, care, and the creation and preservation of new myths.
