First Friday February 2026: Game Night with Recess
Friday, February 6
6:00 – 10:00 PM
For Adults 21+
At The Bronx Museum
(1040 Grand Concourse)
Free! Please RSVP
On the first Friday of every month, The Bronx Museum throws a free after-hours party called “First Friday!”
This February 6th, join us for a special First Friday game-night-takeover with Recess, a social community for Queer and Trans People of Color and their allies.
Enjoy kicking off your weekend playing classic and nostalgic games like Uno, Jenga, Connect 4, and more while vibing to music spun by DJ Beargazer.
Plus, sip on complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, while supplies last.
Feel free to come through solo or bring your crew. All gaming skill levels are welcome—we’ll teach you if you don’t know how to play!
The Museum’s galleries will also be open late with The Seventh AIM Biennial: Forms of Connection on view. The exhibition features work by 28 artists who completed the 2024 and 2025 cycles of the AIM Fellowship, The Bronx Museum’s prestigious professional development program for talented artists based in NYC.
Bringing together works across sculpture, photography, installation, performance, and time-based media, the exhibition illuminates the essential yet often overlooked role of mutual support among artists in sustaining and amplifying their practices, and underscores the Museum’s commitment to fostering a creative community.
*Groups of any size organized privately and through a school, community center, or other entity must register through our Group Tours form at least one week in advance of their visit. Due to capacity limitations, groups are not engaged through this program. Thank you for understanding.
