Jun 30, 2025      1pm - 4pm

As part of The Bronx Museum’s Lifelong Studio program of free art-making classes for adults age 55 and older, we are offering a one-session Lego printmaking workshop!

With the guidance of Bronx Museum Educators, participants will consider how lettering is used not only to communicate information, but convey a feeling to an audience. Together, we will explore how artist Lynne Yun took inspiration from The Bronx Museum’s neighborhood to create the custom typeface, Concourse, as featured in the current exhibition Working Knowledge: Shared Imaginings, New Futures.

With basic principles of lettering and typography in mind, participants will choose a message they’d like to share and arrange Lego pieces on a printing plate to create their own series of relief print greeting cards that they will take home with them.

The workshop duration will be 3 hours with a brief intermission which will include light snacks and beverages.
