The art activities will be led by Lifelong Studio alumni who will share art-making skills they’ve learned through participating in the program. Activities are designed to be fun for all skill levels—from complete beginner to expert artist.

Skill Share Activities
3D Mixed Media Assemblage
Led by Lifelong Studio Alum, MutShat Mahone-Lonesome
Everyday items become works of art as participants use found objects from home and those provided, along with traditional mediums such as paint, metal and collage, to create a mixed media assemblage artwork. The mediums will be combined in dynamic ways that protrude from flat canvas, or other base of choice.
Handcrafted Accordion Journals
Led by Lifelong Studio Alum Michelle Sajous
In this hands-on workshop titled 'The Grateful Fold,' participants will discover the art of traditional accordion bookbinding to create a personal gratitude journal. Using sturdy 5x7 chipboard covers and high-quality paper, you will learn to measure, score, and fold a seamless 8-panel interior. We will then "wrap" our covers in decorative patterns and assemble a durable, standing book perfect for daily reflections, photos, or favorite quotes. No previous bookbinding experience is required—just a desire to create and connect.
