Exhibition Closing Reception — Ministry: Reverend Joyce McDonald
Saturday, January 10
3:00 – 5:00 PM
For All Ages
FREE! Optional RSVP*
All are invited to The Bronx Museum for the closing reception of the critically acclaimed exhibition, Ministry: Reverend Joyce McDonald. Guests will enjoy art, music, and light refreshments.
An ordained Reverend, McDonald’s artistic work is beautiful, intimate, and confessional—drawing on her own life experiences to convey human dignity. A fully illustrated catalogue featuring essays by Croft and Dr. Jareh Das accompanies the exhibition and is available to purchase from the Museum’s on-site gift shop.
Exploring Portraiture in Clay, an exhibition inspired by McDonald’s work and featuring clay sculptures by participants in The Bronx Museum’s Lifelong Studio program—which offers free art workshops to adults 55+—is on view alongside Ministry through Sunday, January 11, at 6:00 PM.
You are welcome to drop in for this event, but if you plan on attending, please consider letting us know in advance with an optional RSVP.
*Groups of any size organized privately and through a school, community center, or other entity must register through our Group Tours form at least one week in advance of their visit. Due to capacity limitations, groups are not engaged through this program. Thank you for understanding.
