ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

All Point Perspective: Listening by Looking is an exhibition curated by the Spring 2025 Teen Council cohort. The group issued an open call inviting high school students across the five New York City boroughs to submit artworks exploring themes of change and inspiration in response to perceived social and environmental issues.

When reviewing applications for the exhibition, the artworks that stood out to the Teen Council were the ones that displayed a strong awareness of local issues and related the topics to personal experiences. This exhibition is not only a depiction of the struggles current NYC high school students face and observe—it is a means to change and empowerment as students contemplate how to establish better futures for themselves and their communities.

The Teen Council asks that you engage with the art you see on view, absorbing the messages these talented young artists have so intricately expressed. Though each work contains a different perspective on a different topic, the pieces are unified in the passion of the student voices that shine through.
